📚✏️ KV Welcomes NY Times Best-Selling Authorl ✏️📚
Keith Valley welcomed NY Times Best-Selling author Victoria Jamieson. The students listened intently as she shared her creative process for writing and illustrating graphic novels, including her acclaimed work When Stars Are Scattered. She took the students behind the scenes of her artistic journey, revealing how she develops characters and visual storytelling techniques. The highlight? Watching the students try their hand at illustration under her guidance. This amazing opportunity was made possible through an HHEF Innovative Learning Grant that allowed the 7th-grade students to read her graphic novel and work directly with the author in their ELA classes.

The KV concert last night was phenomenal. The chamber orchestra delivered with precision, while the full orchestra showcased impressive power and depth. The 7th and 8th grade choruses captivated everyone with beautiful harmonies, and when the 6th graders joined for the combined middle school chorus performance, the result was truly magical.
Special recognition to the talented high school students who joined in with outstanding guitar, bass, and drum accompaniment. The 6th grade chorus deserves its own spotlight, too. They performed with remarkable confidence and skill, proving KV's musical future is in excellent hands.
Hats off to all performers and their dedicated teachers for creating such an unforgettable evening of music. These young musicians should be incredibly proud!

🌍 A CELEBRATION OF "A WORLD OF CULTURES, ONE COMMUNITY" AT BLAIR MILL! 🌏
Today, Blair Mill Elementary hosted an incredible Multicultural Day!. The halls were filled with joy and curiosity as students embarked on a global adventure without leaving school.

Students were captivated by diverse performances including Sweet Potato Pie storytelling, vibrant Bollywood dancing, skilled Chinese Acrobats, and toe-tapping Fiddlekicks performers. Special guests from the Mexican Cultural Center brought traditions to life in the cafeteria, while parent volunteers shared cultural backgrounds in thoughtful presentations.
Students created beautiful Rangoli art and participated in a global scavenger hunt with six stations throughout the school, each representing a different country with unique activities that broadened understanding of the diverse world.

Acclaimed Composer Tyler Arcari Visits Keith Valley
Keith Valley recently welcomed composer Tyler Arcari for a special Q&A session with 7th and 8th-grade Performing Arts students. They had the opportunity to engage with the renowned musician, discussing composition techniques and, of course, video games.
Arcari has performed works around the world and is known for creating music for developing musicians. He is a former middle and high school teacher and currently serves as the Director of Music Production and Editing at several prestigious publishing companies, including Excelcia Music Publishing.
This visit offered students valuable insights into music careers and composition from an industry professional.

Wishing a meaningful Passover to all our families celebrating. May the holiday be filled with joy, reflection, and togetherness.
