The 2026-27 school year marks my fourth year as the Assistant Superintendent in the Hatboro-Horsham School District, and I am excited to continue to build on that momentum across our schools.  I am committed to ensuring each of our students has an enriching and well-rounded educational experience.  Our schools provide a rigorous and relevant learning environment.  Outside the classroom, our students have a range of opportunities from the Jarrett Nature Center to KV’s Innovation Center to the HHTV studio.   We are developing our community’s next leaders, as we prepare our students for success beyond the High School.   

My primary responsibility is to oversee teaching and learning by supervising the schools and our curriculum office.  While my role starts with the principals, I regularly meet with teachers and families to support a collaborative and responsive culture.  I am proud to work closely with our stakeholders to promote an aligned district.  We achieve our best when we work together.   

My educational career began as a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia after graduating from Goucher College.  Building upon my teaching, I had the opportunity to lead as the principal of Carver High School of Engineering and Science for eight years and as an assistant superintendent for two years.  While working in SDP, I completed both my master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of Pennsylvania.  Throughout my nearly 20 years in Philadelphia, I found success through engaging alongside the communities I worked with and developing programming in response to the needs of the students I served.   

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I am married and have two middle-school aged children.  My wife is a middle school teacher in Philadelphia.  Our family remains active, spending time on trails throughout Montgomery County with our dogs and participating in a range of youth sporting events.  

The Hatboro and Horsham communities are rich in tradition, and when we harness our collective energy and insights, it benefits our students.  I am committed to each of our students from Blair Mill, Crooked Billet, Hallowell, and Simmons through Keith Valley, and to graduation at Hatboro-Horsham High School.  Our ultimate success is evident in preparing our students for college, career, and citizenship as they leave our education system.  Our schools offer wonderful educational opportunities for our students, and I am thrilled to be a Hatter as we sustain a culture of belongingness and excellence.
