Hatboro-Horsham Television Club

HHTV is a club at Hatboro-Horsham High School that focuses on giving students top-quality media production experience in areas such as live TV production, filmmaking, journalism, and content creation in order to prepare students for further education and careers in media. At HHTV, students can learn to use cameras, edit videos, report news, direct films, commentate sporting events, and so much more!

Fostering the Journalists, Filmmakers, and TV Producers of Tomorrow

Every school-year, HHTV club produces dozens of live broadcast productions crewed by Hatboro-Horsham High School students. HHTV club members interested in journalism and live TV production can work in a variety of roles to produce broadcasts covering sports, concerts, and current events such as Red & Black week and Crooked Billet Day.

HHTV club members interested in filmmaking learn how to produce films step-by-step with the mentorship of HHTV staff. From pre-production to on-set performances to the editing room, HHTV student filmmakers do it all. Then, these students have the opportunity to gain recognition and awards for their films through submission to the Greenfield Youth Film Fest.

HHTV Presents...Under the Hat!

Much of our hard work culminates in producing our signature live-broadcast variety show "Under the Hat!". Every month while producing "Under the Hat!", HHTV club members work behind and in front of the camera reporting on the latest news around the district leading up to our live in-studio broadcast on YouTube (typically airing on Fridays @ 11AM). "Under the Hat!" also includes pre-produced segments created just for the show by students and for students. HHTV club members who pitch and produce segments get a chance to amplify their perspective on a topic of their choosing such as movies, music, video games, and other areas of interest for high school students.

Crew positions for "Under the Hat!" live broadcasts include: Live TV Anchor, Technical Director, Teleprompter, Camera Operator, Weather Reporter, and more!
