Home Health Services Expands Senior Management’s Roles
PLANO, TX – (May 25, 2004) Home Health Services, Inc., a Plano-based home health care agency, recently expanded all of its senior management positions in anticipation of the agency’s planned growth outside of the Dallas Fort Worth area by the end of 2004. Effective immediately, Gerry Dutschke has been named president and CEO. Dutschke has served as the agency’s executive director since 1991.
"This move is to keep the organization more in line with the operations of other nonprofits similar in scale to Home Health Services,” Lynda Coumelis, chairman of Home Health Services' board of directors, said. “As the organization continues to expand, it's important that the senior management's titles reflect the levels of responsibilities that they maintain."
Also effective immediately, Dottie Heerema, RN, BSN, CCM, has been named vice president of marketing; Charles Knight has been named vice president of finance and Ward Thulin, RN, has been named vice president of clinical operations.
“This change will be imperceptible for our staff and patients,” Dutschke explained. “The real difference will be in how this restructure will help our agency’s continued growth. Since we’re celebrating our 30th anniversary this year, it’s really an opportune time to review where our agency has been and implement the changes necessary to facilitate where our agency is going.”
Home Health Services is scheduled to open a Houston office by the end of 2004 and has plans to open a San Antonio branch during 2005.
